Carsome's after-sales service business launched


PETALING JAYA: Carsome is aiming to improve the automotive after-sales service industry through its one-stop Carsome Service Centres that run on a transparent online booking and billing platform, and backed by certified maintenance experts with well-equipped facilities.

At the opening of Carsome's second after-sales service centre in Section 51A here, Carsome co-founder Eric Cheng said Carsome Service Centres offer a full breath of maintenance services for convenient and worry-free car upkeep.

"We are committed to alleviating the uncertainties car owners have to navigate in order to secure a reliable, affordable and trusted car maintenance service provider," he said.

Southeast Asia's largest integrated car e-commerce platform opened its first Carsome Service Centre in Ampang late last year.

The new centre here was officially opened by Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang.

Also present at the opening were Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung, Carsome co-founder Teoh Jiun Ee and senior Carsome management members.

Cheng said that from a business perspective, Carsome Service Centres marked a new chapter to improve legacy practices by leveraging on data and technology to digitalise the customer's vehicle maintenance journey.

With this, customers can be assured of trusted and quality after-sales services by fully-trained mechanics as well as upfront billing on repair services required.

Chang praised Carsome which started out on humble beginnings eight years ago had managed to become the country's first tech unicorn.

He also said the company is further paving the way ahead by providing its customers with a choice of services that are transparent and trusted.

Carsome Service Centres are open to all car owners and not just those who bought cars from Carsome.

Aside from three service packages ranging from RM98 to RM288, the centres can also perform a range of regular repairs, among them wheel alignment and air-conditioner servicing.

Carsome Certified chief executive officer Mei Han said the centres offered genuine parts and are able to service all vehicle brands.

Apart from customers who booked appointments online, Carsome Service Centre also accepts walk-in customers.

Those who booked an appointment will get a free 20-point inspection.
