PUTRAJAYA: Castrol Malaysia recently hosted a meet-and-greet with Audi Revolut F1 team driver Gabriel Bortoleto for motorsport enthusiasts at Le Méridien Putrajaya.
For an audience accustomed to following race weekends through a screen, the occasion offered a chance to hear directly from someone living that ambition.
Bortoleto shared the experiences behind his climb through the junior championships, the adjustment to Formula 1 and the learning that continues long after a driver earns a place on the grid.
The event also brought Castrol’s involvement in motorsport closer to audiences in Malaysia, with a focus on the people, preparation and teamwork behind racing.

Castrol country sales director for Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines Gan Wee Kiong said, "We are very pleased to welcome Gabriel to Malaysia and bring people here closer to motorsport."
"At Castrol, we believe progress comes from working together, solving problems and constantly looking for the next improvement. Gabriel’s visit allows us to share that passion with our
customers, partners and fans.”
Bortoleto’s journey gives that excitement a compelling foundation.
The Brazilian driver won the Formula 3 championship in 2023 and the Formula 2 title in 2024, securing both at his first attempt.
He made his Formula 1 debut in 2025 and is competing in his second season in 2026 with Audi Revolut F1 Team.
Behind that partnership is an extensive technical collaboration. Castrol works with the Audi Revolut F1 Team to develop the engine oil for the team’s power unit, alongside gearbox oil, hydraulic fluid and ERS fluid.
A Castrol engineer is also embedded with the team at every race, supporting continuous development throughout the season.
Guests were also given an opportunity to witness Bortoleto’s racing skill and competitive spirit first-hand through the race simulator experience corner that was delivered in collaboration with Sony, Fanatec and Sdeal Gaming.
