KUALA LUMPUR: Chery Malaysia has announced its sponsorship for the Malaysian contingent participating in the Asian Youth Para Games 2025, currently taking place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Dec 7 – 14).
The prestigious event will see 29 Malaysian para-athletes competing across eight sports - archery, athletics, badminton, boccia, powerlifting, swimming, table tennis, and taekwondo.
In support of the team’s departure for Dubai, Chery Malaysia provided a convoy of Chery vehicles featuring various models to ferry athletes, coaches, and officials to KLIA after a flag-off ceremony from the Malaysia Paralympic Sports Excellence Centre in Kuala Lumpur on Dec 6.
"Para athletes have always been an inspiration to all of us. They embody courage, perseverance, and the spirit of excellence. At Chery, we believe these young para-athletes represent the future of our nation, and we are honoured to play a role in their journey," said Chery Malaysia executive vice president Men Lin Bo.
“We are thankful for this generous gesture by Chery Malaysia and send a strong signal to our young para-athletes that there are many quarters who are supporting and cheering them on in their quest to bring glory to our country,” said National Sports Council of Malaysia director general Jefri Ngadirin.
In addition to logistical support, Chery Malaysia is sponsoring a total of RM29,000 as part of its commitment and will announce an additional token of appreciation for every medal won by
Malaysian para-athletes at the games.
The collaboration reflects Chery’s deepening commitment to the Asian Paralympic movement.
Earlier this year, Chery International partnered with the Kazakhstan Paralympic Committee to organise a children’s sports festival, giving young participants the opportunity to experience the joy of sport and the power of self-improvement.
This initiative became an important foundation for expanding meaningful cross-border Paralympic public-welfare efforts.
Chery International further reinforced these ties by supporting the successful hosting of the Asian Paralympic Committee Congress this year.
