KUALA LUMPUR: Chery Malaysia is set to launch the Omoda E5, its first all-electric vehicle in the Malaysian market soon.
In a statement, the company said the Omoda E5, has arrived at Port Klang, paving way for its introduction.
Chery said the Omoda E5 features a core principle of green and safe driving, and advanced new energy technology.
Characterised by the crossover design, Omoda E5 EV features the CROSS styling design for its exterior, with its light and shadow-cutting streamlined body and a high-tech and futuristic front face.
Meanwhile, the interior design incorporates future technological elements and the gear shifter is designed to be simple and high-tech.
Drivers can travel without frequent stopping for recharging as the Omoda E5's ultra-low energy consumption of only 15kWh per 100km and delivers an impressive range of 450km.
Additionally, Omoda E5's fast charging technology can charge the battery from 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes, offering users quick and and convenient travelling experience.
The Omoda E5 is also equipped with a new generation Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) that includes sixteen functions such as blind-spot monitoring, reverse warning, and automatic emergency braking capable of recognising pedestrians and cyclists which greatly enhances active and passive safety.
The Omoda E5 is available in seven vibrant exterior colors and three interior color-matching designs.
