Chery Omoda 5 and Tiggo 8 Pro to land in Malaysia in June 2023

KUALA LUMPUR: Showroom units of the Chery Omoda 5 and Tiggo 8 Pro are expected to arrive in Malaysia in June 2023.

In a statement, the Chinese automaker said it will host more exciting events in Malaysia for up-close user experiences, and "Malaysian consumers will have opportunities to have captivating driving experiences."

The Tiggo 8 Pro has 12 ADAS (advanced driver-assistance system) features such as automatic start-stop, ACC (adaptive cruise control), AEB (automatic emergency braking) and FCW (forward collision warning).

The Omoda 5 offers 17 ADAS features, including Lane Keeping Assist and RCTA (rear cross traffic alert).

Both cars have the Cerence voice recognition system, which enables convenient and quick control of multimedia functions and air-conditioning.

The Omoda 5 adopts Chery's new design language known as “Art in Motion”, a design concept that aims to strike a balance between dynamism and stillness.

The Tiggo 8 Pro is designed for the lifestyle of urban elites.
