KUALA LUMPUR: Chery Malaysia has opened the order book for its upcoming next-generation plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) lineup – the Tiggo 7 PHEV and Tiggo 8 PHEV.
Bookings are now open at all authorised Chery Malaysia showrooms nationwide and online at www.chery.my.
Featuring the revolutionary Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) technology, Malaysian drivers can look forward to enjoying a new level of efficiency, performance and safety.
These new models not only complement the Malaysian Government’s drive to accelerate sustainable mobility under the Madani Economic Framework but also contribute to industrial transformation and empower Malaysians to embrace cleaner, more energy-efficient vehicles.
Among the features of the CSH are:
> The dedicated fifth generation Acteco 1.5TGDi hybrid powerplant that delivers a 44.5% world-class thermal efficiency for outstanding fuel savings and power.
> The dedicated Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) that offers seamless and intelligent power delivery for smooth, responsive driving. In addition to pue electric driving, it also offers a combined driving range of up to 1,200km on a full tank. Its two internal electric motors allow the vehicle to move and recharge.
> The 18.3kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) high-capacity battery promises fast charging, reliability and up to 90km of pure EV driving.
> The hybrid powertrain also delivers fuel efficiency and strong responsive performance with seamless flexibility.
Meanwhile, the Guardian Battery Safety System offers:
> High-voltage power cutoff system that shuts down the high-voltage system in an incident to safeguard the vehicle's occupants.
> Certified IP68 dust and water proof battery pack, it allows maximum protection against Malaysia’s harsh weather and road conditions while withstanding extreme temperatures up to 95°C, and supports fast charging from 30% to 80% in just 19 minutes.
> Its moisture-resistant design inspires confidence when driving in flood-prone areas, making a 500mm wading depth possible.
> Its ultra-wide temperature operating range from -35 to 60 degress Celsius results in reliable operation across diverse climates and driving environments.
