Chery’s Flying Car project: Up, up and away

The most futuristic element of Chery’s roadmap is its Flying Car project, developed to “solve traffic problems” through vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) technology.

The concept, known as the Land and Air Vehicle, is a two-seater modular aircraft capable of switching between autonomous flight and ground driving.

Powered by an intelligent electric architecture, it offers flexibility for urban commuters to travel both on the road and in the air.

A prototype has already achieved a successful 80km test flight, reaching altitudes of up to 1,000m and speeds up to 120kph.

Designed for short-distance urban travel, the prototype aims to bypass congested roads entirely by combining the practicality of a car with the freedom of flight.
