KUALA LUMPUR: The locally produced 10-seater Hyundai Staria is making its international debut in Thailand.
Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) said the first export shipment had departed on June 3, 2026.
The Staria will be officially available for sale to customers in Thailand beginning June 12, marking a landmark milestone for HMY’s export ambitions and commitment to the Malaysian automotive industry.
“The export of the Staria to Thailand marks the beginning of Malaysia being an export hub for Hyundai. This is a milestone we are proud of, as it reflects our brand’s unwavering commitment to deliver vehicles of global quality, while continuing to invest in Malaysia’s growth and development," said HMY managing director Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen.
"Driven by our tagline Sentiasa di sisi anda, we are just getting started,” she added.
The Staria is HMY’s first locally-produced model, alongside its assembly partner Inokom, Sime Motors’ assembly facility in Kulim, Kedah.
