KUALA LUMPUR: Volvo Car Malaysia today announced that bookings are now open for the locally assembled (CKD) Volvo EX30.
The launch batch in September last year were fully imported units.
As locally assembled Model Year 2025 (MY25) vehicles, the EX30 will only be available in two variants: the Ultra and Ultra Twin Performance, with prices starting at RM208,888 and RM228,888, respectively. The model was offered in three variants at launch, with the Plus being the base version. Prices remain the same as the fully imported units.
Customers can choose from a choice of three colours: Cloud Blue, Vapour Grey, and Crystal White.
The first batch of deliveries will be in the second week of January 2025.
The EX30 features Google Built-in for intuitive vehicle controls, upgraded Pilot Assist with semi-autonomous functionalities, 360° environmental awareness through multiple cameras and sensors, and automatic parking with Park Pilot Assist.
It is also equipped with a Harman Kardon soundbar system.
The Ultra variant features a single motor producing 272PS/268hp and 343Nm of torque, achieving 0-100kph in 5.3 seconds.
The Ultra Twin Performance variant delivers 428PS/422hp and 543Nm with dual motors, achieving 0-100kph in 3.6 seconds.
Both variants use a 69kWh NMC battery, offering up to 476km (WLTP) for the single motor and 450km for the twin motor. Rapid 175kW DC fast charging allows a 10-80% charge in 28 minutes.
The EX30 is supported by the Volvo Car Service Plan (VSP) covers essential services such as cabin air filter replacement, brake fluid checks, wiper blade replacement, and software updates for up to 5 years or 100,000 km, whichever comes first.
Wear-and-tear items like brake pads and discs are also included. Customers who purchase the EX30 will also be covered under a 5-year 24-hour roadside assistance program.
The EX30 is backed by a 5 year/unlimited-mileage vehicle warranty and an 8-year/160,000 km high-voltage battery warranty.
The battery warranty guarantees performance, with free repairs or replacements if capacity falls below 70% within the warranty period.
