Continental launches EcoContact 6 and EcoContact 6Q tyres

KUALA LUMPUR: Leading German tyre manufacturer Continental has introduced the EcoContact 6 and EcoContact 6Q to Malaysia.

These tyres deliver exceptional comfort, lower rolling resistance, and improved efficiency, allowing petrol and hybrid vehicles to consume less fuel, and enabling electric vehicles to travel further on a single charge.

Engineered for fuel efficiency, the EcoContact 6 reduces CO2 emissions with its high-tech silica compound, which optimises rolling resistance.

Its tailor-made pattern, asymmetric rib, and sipe geometry provide superior grip and stability on wet and dry roads.

Meanwhile, the EcoContact 6Q builds on these features with advanced noise reduction technology, ensuring a smoother and quieter drive.

The custom tread pattern and Advanced Green Chili 2.0 compound, which adapt to road conditions, further improve rolling resistance and fuel economy.

While its asymmetric rib and sipe geometry maintain consistent road contact, it also enhances stability, especially during lane changes, and minimises road noise for a more comfortable ride.

Continental has incorporated ContiSilent technology into the EcoContact 6 and EcoContact 6Q.

This innovative polyurethane foam absorber reduces interior noise by up to 9 dB(A), ensuring a quieter and more comfortable drive across various road surfaces.

By minimising cabin noise, ContiSilent enhances the overall driving experience.

The EcoContact 6 and 6Q are factory-fitted by top global car manufacturers due to their ultra-low rolling resistance and ability to extend driving range.

While both models prioritise efficiency, the EcoContact 6 focuses on durability, whereas the EcoContact 6Q enhances driving comfort with additional noise reduction technology.

Their versatile performance makes them equally suitable for petrol, hybrid, and electric vehicles.

Malaysians can now experience the Continental EcoContact 6 and 6Q, available in sizes from 15-inch to 21-inch, with OE markings specially developed and approved for BMW and Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

The tyres are available at authorised Continental dealers nationwide, as well as at official Continental stores on Shopee, TNG eWallet, and Lazada.
