The criteria met by Cycle & Carriage Mutiara Damansara to achieve the GreenRE silver rating included:
● Utilising efficient air-conditioning by using LED lights
● Reducing electricity demand by using LED lights
● Continuous monitoring and improvement for well-being of building occupants
● Priority parking lots with electric vehicle (EV) charging stations
● Good public transportation access such as MRT station and bus stops
● Waste minimisation and recycling
Cycle & Carriage has also committed to obtaining GreenRE certification for its other locations from the north to the south of Peninsula Malaysia.
The GreenRE is a widely recognised green building certification system in Malaysia.
It rates and certifies buildings based on their environmental sustainability and energy efficiency.
The GreenRE certification levels include Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze, differentiated by the level of commitment to sustainability.
The certification takes into account energy efficiency, water efficiency, indoor environmental quality, sustainable site development, materials and resources, and innovation of a building.
