Dacia shows off world’s first boot organiser app

MIOVENI (Romania): Dacia has launched the world’s first augmented reality (AR) "Boot Organiser" tool within its Dacia AR app, enabling users to load and optimise car boot space with greater efficiency.

The feature allows customers to visualise the placement of items such as suitcases, surfboards and sleeping bags ahead of trips or moves.

If an item is not listed, users can add it manually, ensuring the tool reflects their exact packing needs.

Pre-set scenarios for camping trips, moving house or holidays guide users on making the most of available space. Dacia said the tool was created to remove the stress associated with packing prior to weekend breaks, adventures and house moves.

It includes an extensive list of common luggage and sports equipment items, with the option to add custom entries when necessary.

The Boot Organiser joins several digital services in Dacia’s expanding online ecosystem, designed to enhance everyday driving experiences.

Among these is the "Dacia Travel Companion", which monitors driver fatigue by analysing facial expressions and sleep data, and recommends personalised points of interest for meaningful and safe breaks.

The app integrates with navigation platforms including Waze, Google Maps and Apple Maps, providing route planning and safety alerts to support drivers.

Dacia said the suite of applications establishes a permanent link between car owners and the brand via smartphone, whether in or away from the vehicle.

A single user account provides easy access across Dacia’s digital tools, which are available on both iOS and Android.

The company described the digital environment as reflecting its philosophy of practicality and simplicity, delivering useful services in daily life.
