Ride the Lazareth LM847 if you dare

PARIS: Call it human ingenuity or just plain crazy. The Lazareth LM847, unveiled in March, is shown in this recent video being ridden around.

The French vehicle customiser installed a 470hp Maserati Quattroporte engine into the LM847, which looked like a quad bike with two parallel wheels close together front and rear.

A video posted up by Lazareth shows the bike being ridden around in a most leisurely fashion.

It would be interesting to see how it holds up if even only 50% of its power were tapped with a slight twist of the throttle for sustained distances. Or better still, push it hard on a race track to rack up the views.

The sight of the monster bike brings to mind the 2003 Dodge Tomahawk concept, which combined the 500hp, 8.3-litre V10 SRT10 engine from the Dodge Viper to a vehicle with two front wheels and two rear wheels, which are sprung independently and in theory allow it to lean into corners and countersteer like a motorcycle.
