DBKL introduces cashless parking payment from Oct 1
By THE STAR | 30 September 2020KUALA LUMPUR: Motorists in the city will no longer have to face the hassle of looking for parking payment machines, as payment will now be done through mobile applications and e-wallets only.
Starting Oct 1, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) said that payment for street parking in the city under its purview would be available via mobile apps EZ Smart Park, FlexiParking and Wilayah Parking as well as M-Cash e-wallet.
“DBKL is also in the midst of implementing parking payment via Boost and Touch n Go e-wallets to provide more options for customers,” it said in a statement.
DBKL added that daily and monthly parking passes were not available on the apps and e-wallets and would be activated after the upgrading of the system.
“Applications for reserved bays are operating as usual at the same costs,” it said, urging the public to familiarise themselves with the new payment method.
