PETALING JAYA: Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia (JLRM) has launched the Defender V8, which is said to set a new benchmark for luxury sport utility vehicles (SUVs) in the country.
It is offered in two variants, the 110 V8 and 130 V8.
Duty-free pricing starts from RM998,000 for the 110, and RM1.198 million for the 130.
The 110 boasts a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine, delivering 525PS with 625Nm of torque and an acceleration of 0-100kph in just 5.4 seconds.
Meanwhile, the 130 features a 5.0-litre V8 engine producing 500PS and 610Nm of torque, and a sprint from 0-100kph in 5.7 seconds.
Equipped with a signature exhaust note, the Defender V8 comes with quad outboard mounted exhaust pipes, delivering a deep, roaring V8 soundtrack.
Designed for versatility, the 110 variant includes 40:20:40 heated rear seats with a split-folding design with a centre armrest.
The 130 variant features 60:40 rear seats with manual slide and recline allowing for extension of the cargo area alongside with 40:20:40 folding and third-row seats with the capability of carrying eight passengers.
