Discounted traffic summonses can be paid at Maybank ATMs

KUALA LUMPUR: Members of the public can pay their traffic summonses with discounts of up to 80% at Maybank ATM machines until Dec 31.

This is on top of other options including paying up at any district or state police contingent nationwide, post offices, or through the MyBayar Saman portal.

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Asst Comm Sarifudin Mohd Salleh said, however, that payment for the summonses could not be made through Maybank online banking services.

"People can pay their summonses through Maybank ATMs," he said today.

He said there were no congested lines of people queuing up at state and district police headquarters in the city on Monday.

"Based on our observation, there was no congestion for those who wish to pay their summonses as there are fewer people queuing up at traffic counters in the city," he said.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani announced on Sunday that the discounts on traffic summonses had been extended until Dec 31.

"We have decided to extend the discount offer period until Dec 31.

"Our rationale for extending the discount period is to avoid crowding and last-minute rushes at these traffic counters," he said.
