KUALA LUMPUR: DK Leather Seats Sdn Bhd (DKLS) is gearing up to meet the demand for automotive leather seats which has been increasing substantially since the 1960s in tandem with the rapid growth of the automotive industry.

Being a prominent leather upholstery manufacturer with a global presence for leather seats production world since 1997, DKLS manufactures, distributes and installs automotive leather seat covers for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) and Replacement Equipment Manufacturer (REM) market segments with multiple international marques.

DKLS director Lesley Koek said the company became a pioneer in combining innovative and creative car leather seats designs for the masses which embodied the latest technology, quality and styling that were value for money.

Its own in-house research and development team are continuously working towards developing materials and customisable templates for latest local and foreign car brands with over 10,000 seat patterns and car models in its database.

“Ultimately, we want our customers to experience the feeling of luxury and comfort at a reasonable price regardless of the vehicle their own," Koek said.

He said the first-of-its-kind product offerings in the region would meet the expectations of car owners who want to have an enjoyable and premium interior.

"Also, customers would not need to worry about the leather fittings as we have an in-house test centre that ensures all materials and fittings are put through vigorous and meticulous Quality Control (QC) testing for durability and reliability are not being compromised," he said.

Apart from the attention to detail, DKLS has dedicated computerised airbag sewing machines for leather seat covers to ensure compliance to testing and certification requirements by TUV Rheinland Group.
