KUALA LUMPUR: Duckhams Oils have been awarded the SIRIM Product Certification, which confirms that the company's lubricants meet strict safety, quality and regulatory standards.
The SIRIM certification was introduced in response to growing concerns over the increasing number of counterfeit engine oils in domestic and international markets.
To address the issue and protect consumers, Malaysian authorities implemented the Trade Descriptions (Certification and Marking of Engine Oil for Motor Vehicle) Order 2024 in 2024, which took effect in April 2025.
Applicants involved in the manufacturing, importing, exhibiting, selling, and advertising of engine oils in Malaysia must ensure compliance with the order and provide information on testing, certification, marking, and labelling requirements.
Duckhams had unveiled its co-branded two-wheeler oils, proudly developed in collaboration with JDT Lubricants in Malaysia, earlier this year.
