Duta toll plaza roadblock in KL named best managed checkpoint in KL

KUALA LUMPUR: Two movement control order (MCO) roadblocks here have been recognised as being the best in the city.

City police chief Comm Datuk Azmi Abu Kassim said the Duta toll plaza roadblock was selected as the best managed roadblock here.

"The roadblock in front of Cheras Eko Mall was the second best.

"We decided to run the Best Op Covid-19 roadblock campaign to evaluate the effectiveness of these roadblocks," he said in a statement today.
He said the roadblocks were evaluated on several criteria including operation, knowledge of duties and cleanliness.

"The campaign was also meant to motivate personnel in the field to continue to give their full commitment in performing their duties in facing the challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Comm Azmi said his team would continue to increase the quality of service to the community as well as motivate its members through such campaigns.

"The prize was not as valuable as the recognition of winning, which will motivate our people to excel in their duties.

"I also want to thank the community for its cooperation in complying with the standard operating procedure in order to flatten the curve of Covid-19 infections," he said.
