Typically, Flux sources its inventory from automotive retailers, but has now opened its doors to individual car owners, allowing them to host and tap over 4,000 Flux members.
In a statement, Flux said: "For those households who find themselves with a spare car, sitting idle at home, they can now subscribe out their car and earn a passive second income as a Flux host.
"Today, in a Covid-19 world, many of us have had to adjust to a working from home arrangement, helping our children with their online classes and as a result, driving a lot less."
To be a Flux host, go to the “Become A Host” portal on driveflux.com or via Flux Customer Service touchpoints.
The company would then schedule an appointment to inspect the car and take the owner through the process, including a detailed explanation of his unique monthly earnings.
After all the details specific to the car are agreed upon, the car would be photographed and uploaded to the Flux platform.
Once the car gets a reservation, Flux will co-ordinate with the owner for the most convenient collection date from a location of the owner's choosing by Flux Concierge.
In addition with working with established partners so that the car is adequately covered while it is on the road, the company would also monitor the status of the car and its occupants with onboard telematics.
"Protection of your asset is our utmost priority, alongside creating a safe and positive experience for our members," Flux said.
Flux’s payment management system automatically pays out the monthly earnings to a bank account of owners choosing.
"Everything is seamless, done online and you get paid on time," Flux said.
