EON and Sahabat Autofest 2026: Exciting deals

SHAH ALAM: Edaran Otomobil Nasional (EON), a subsidiary of DRB-Hicom Bhd, has launched its EON and Sahabat Autofest 2026, a three-day multi-brand automotive showcase taking place until May 10 at EON Glenmarie, Shah Alam.

The third instalment of the autofest brings together eight established automotive marques under the EON stable — Proton, smart, Mitsubishi, Honda, Isuzu, Audi, Volkswagen and its newest addition, Hyundai.

During the autofest, customers can access attractive interest rates starting from as low as 0.77% on selected models across participating brands.

Vehicle financing approvals are facilitated on-site via the Tras digital financing platform, enabling same-day loan approvals and allowing customers to make purchase decisions in real time.

For eligible buyers who secure financing during the event, same-day vehicle delivery is available, significantly cutting short the waiting period typically associated with new car purchases and providing greater ownership convenience.

Eligible purchases would also qualify for the complimentary Extended Warranty Programme, extending protection beyond the standard vehicle warranty period, as well as Personal Accident coverage.

Visitors to the EON and Sahabat Autofest 2026 may also test drive selected models on-site, giving additional convenience in their financing and purchase decisions.

All eligible bookings made during the event will automatically qualify for a lucky draw, with prizes including a Proton e.MAS 7, a Modenas Ninja 250 ABS, holiday package worth RM10,000 from Tripfez, Gold-i worth RM10,000 from Bank Muamalat and other attractive rewards.

In conjunction with Mother's Day, which falls on the final day of the Autofest, special activities are planned to celebrate mothers.

Visitors can expect family-friendly experiences and exclusive tokens of appreciation dedicated to mothers,

EON Bhd CEO Akkbar Danial, said the autofest reflects EON’s focus on simplifying the car ownership journey.

“By bringing vehicle brands, financing, trade-in, mobility and aftersales solutions together under one roof, we want to assist customers in making the move from consideration to ownership with greater clarity, confidence and convenience,” he said.

He added that the theme “This is your sign, Say Yes” reflects EON’s intent to fully support Malaysians who are making their next mobility decision, whether entering vehicle ownership for the first time, upgrading, or transitioning to electrified models.

The first day of the EON and Sahabat Autofest 2026 also saw the official debut of Budget car rental in Malaysia.

Budget, the sister brand of the global car rental company Avis, is operated by DRB-Hicom EZ-Drive Sdn Bhd (Avis Budget Malaysia) and will expand EON’s mobility portfolio further by offering a more accessible, flexible and budget-friendly rental solution.

Avis Budget Malaysia also announced a strategic collaboration with Tourism Selangor.

Avis Budget Malaysia covering chief operating officer Adzfar Abd Aziz said, “The Autofest allows customers to experience the new Budget brand first-hand and see how we make everyday travel, be it forbusiness or leisure, simpler and more affordable.”

“As part of the launch promotion, rentals start from as low as RM68 per day for a Proton Persona, with customers receiving a complimentary RM10 Aeon voucher for any bookings made during the Autofest period,” he added.

Complementing the vehicle showcase, the autofest also features offerings from a range of partners within the DRB-Hicom Group.

These include Avis Budget, Tras, DRB-Hicom University of Automotive Malaysia, Bank Muamalat, Pos Malaysia, Puspakom, Hicom Mechatronics Sdn Bhd and many others.
