Ex-McLaren exec Tony Joseph to head Aston Martin Americas
By CARSIFU | 09 November 2022NEW YORK: Aston Martin Lagonda has appointed a new executive to head its North American operations.
Tony Joseph, formerly from McLaren, will take over from Adam Chamberlain, who is leaving the company. No reason was given for the latter's exit.
North America is Aston Martin's largest market.
Joseph brings to Aston Martin more than 25 years’ experience in the luxury segment and joins the company from his previous position as president of McLaren Group in North America.
Having enjoyed a near 13-year career with McLaren, Joseph initially introduced and launched the brand in North America, significantly growing its revenues and dealer network to make up more than 40% of the company’s annual global sales.
The American also led the expansion of the brand’s US operations, including its successful relocation to Dallas, Texas.
He will now seek to build on the recent move of Aston Martin’s regional headquarters to New York City, and spearhead the opening of an ultra-luxury brand experience centre in the heart of midtown Manhattan next year.
Joseph’s career includes a six-year spell as sales director of Ferrari North America and extensive experience within Porsche’s dealer network. He is a graduate of Western Michigan University.
