Ferrari Roma driven into compromising position

PETALING JAYA: It's gotta be painful watching such a beautiful car as the Ferrari Roma get stuck in a narrow alleyway.

That's what happened in this video posted up by SupercarNews on YouTube, which showed a silver Roma wedged in somewhere in Italy, known for many of its small streets.

While everyone of us is not above making stupid mistakes when driving, this situation counts as a big one. And a very expensive one at that.

The scratch marks and possible dents on either side of the car will cost thousands of dollars and weeks in the workshop to fix.

Obviously, the driver of this car had a "width perception" problem in thinking his car could squeeze into this lane. At over 1.9m wide, the Roma is as wide as a 488 Pista. An observant driver would have noticed the tiled surfaces of the road led increasingly towards the walls on each side.

Unfortunately, the 51-second video clip, which has attracted over 670,000 views two days after being uploaded, has left its audience hanging. No word on the Roma's fate.

But one would think the only way to extricate the Roma would be to reverse the car with some force - scratch marks be damned. The driver will just have to bite the bullet and pay for the damage to the car.
