BURI RAM (Thailand): The media had a brief test drive of the all-electric Toyota bZ4X at this weekend's (Dec 16 to 18) Idemitsu 1500 Super Endurance race at the Chang International Circuit.

Likely to be launched in Malaysia in 2023, following its recent launch in Thailand in November, the all-wheel drive bZ4X has a 71.4-kWh lithium-ion battery, and a travel range of up to 411km.

As expected from a BEV (battery electric vehicle), the drive is near silent, without the noise or vibration of a combustion engine, and acceleration is effortless.

The electric SUV also felt very stable at speeds.
