PETALING JAYA: Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor of Ford in Malaysia, has unveiled the Ranger StormTrak Limited Edition pick-up truck.
Available in only 200 units nationwide, the StormTrak has been priced at RM181,888 (on-the-road without insurance, Peninsular Malaysia) and RM188,288 in Sabah and Sarawak.
The variant is available exclusively online via https://shop.sdacford.com.my.
The online site, launched in tandem with the latest StormTrak edition, now allows customers to also book other Ranger and Everest models online.
Those who purchase the StormTrak will receive a Ranger StormTrak Windbreaker jacket upon vehicle delivery.
With three colour options of Arctic White, Meteor Grey and Absolute Black, the StormTrak also comes in a special StormTrak scheme for the interior and exterior.
Exclusive to this limited edition pick-up truck are its 20-inch wheels in Asphalt Black matt paint with a Race Red wheel insert.
This is accompanied by a StormTrak schemed front grille and bumper, new emblems and livery to help remind new owners of its limited-edition status.
Meanwhile, it also showcases its first-in-class features such as Auxiliary Lamps to help illuminate dark off-road trails and Zone Lighting which brightens the vehicle's surroundings and cargo lights for added convenience.
For added practicality, the StormTrak is gifted with the innovative Flexible Rack System and Swing-in-Place Roof Rails that allow for one-handed adjustments of the sports bar which can support up to 80kg (dynamic) and 250kg (static).
Inside, owners can expect to use an e-Shifter for the 10-speed automatic transmission that manages power delivery of the 2.0-litre (1,996cc) twin-turbo diesel engine producing 210PS at 3,750rpm and 500Nm from 1,750 to 2,000rpm.
To further remind owners of their special limited edition pick up truck are Race Red accents on the dashboard and stitching for the seats with StormTrak logo and Miko suede inserts.
Among its other features are Active Park Assist 2.0 and Auto Brake Hold which are also found in the Ranger Raptor and Everest Titanium.
Ford Asia Pacific Distributor Markets (APDM) and Korea executive director David Jeffrey said the StormTrak marked a significant point in the Ford range with scaled-up innovation and uniquely customer-centric design.
