KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Auto ConneXion, the sole distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia, has introduced the all-new Ford Ranger WildTrak 3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel.
Priced on-the-road without insurance at RM192,888 in Peninsular Malaysia and RM198,688 in Sabah and Sarawak, the latest flagship variant comes in four colours of Arctic White, Absolute Black, Luxe Yellow and Meteor Grey.
An early bird package is available where customers will receive a complimentary two-year Extended Service Package, a limited-edition cooler bag upon vehicle delivery and an exclusive Ford camping chair for online bookings.
For peace of mind, the pickup truck is also covered by a five-year or 160,000km warranty, which includes Ford Mobile Service, vehicle pick-up and delivery, as well as Express Service at 15 dealers nationwide.
Output for this WildTrak comes from a 3.0-litre (2,993cc) V6 turbodiesel block that produces 250PS at 3,250rpm and 600Nm of torque from 1,750rpm to 2,000rpm.
Transmission is a 10-speed automatic mated to a full-time four-wheel drive system.
There are six selectable drive modes of Normal, Eco, Tow/Haul, Slippery, Mud/Ruts and Sand, while four drivetrain modes give it added versatility over different surface conditions.
Externally, it comes fitted with Matrix LED headlamps, C-clamp daytime running lights, 20-inch alloy wheels with 255/55 series tyres and a full-size spare wheel, while a V6 emblem adds a reminder to those who own it.
Inside, the cabin features a 12-inch SYNC 4A infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8.0-inch TFT multi-information display for its instrument cluster, wireless charging and a windscreen-mounted USB port for powering dashcams.
Driver assistance features include Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centring, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Post-Collision Braking, among others.
