The limited edition Ranger XLT 2.2L Special Edition comes in Arctic White and Absolute Black and is fitted with fender flares, a rear view camera and a functional tonneau cover.
The in-truck infotainment system features an upgraded large nine-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that supports mobile applications such as Spotify, Waze, YouTube and Google Chrome.
Trendy geometrical decals on each side complete the truck’s sporty and rugged looks.
It is priced at RM120,888 for Peninsular Malaysia and RM126,388 for Sabah and Sarawak (on-the-road, without insurance), and comes with a warranty of three years or up to 100,000km, whichever comes first.
“With this Special Edition and its limited number of units, we aim to create more exclusivity for customers looking for a versatile vehicle that is suitable for both on-and off-road as well as a lifestyle statement,” said SDAC managing director Syed Ahmad Muzri Syed Faiz.
The Ranger XLT 2.2L Special Edition is still powered by a Duratorq 2.2L turbodiesel engine with a six-speed automatic transmission, that delivers 160ps and peak torque of 385Nm.
Features include 4X4 Shift-On-The-Fly, rain sensing wipers, the light and nimble Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS), daytime running lights and headlights for better visibility.
It also comes with two airbags, e-locking rear differential, Hill Descent Control, Hill Launch Assist, Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), ISOFIX child seat mounts, Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control, Rollover Mitigation, Trailer Sway Control and Adaptive Load Control.
