Geebee is a cross between scooter and motorcycle

PARIS: While soft mobility is becoming more and more popular in big cities, the Geebee is a strange kind of vehicle that is shaking up the sector.

A sort of hybrid mix between a dirt bike and a kick scooter, it is billed as being particularly stable and robust.

Concept Geebee is a Quebec-based manufacturer that has, for a few years, been offering vehicles halfway between a scooter and a motorcycle.

If the concept comes from Canada, the vehicles are assembled in France. The manufacturer took advantage of the recent Autonomy trade show here to present its latest model.

This electric vehicle range is presented as a sustainable, agile and safe mobility solution. The Geebee is designed not to exceed 25kph (in France) and has a range of 50km to 60km depending on use.

Its removable battery can be fully recharged from any domestic socket in just four hours. As an option, it is possible to choose off-road tyres, to install a basket at the front or turn signals, or to customise most of the vehicle's features (rims, battery, basket).

But its main assets are its stability and its ability to cover various types of terrain, including bumpy ground.

This is why the Geebee is as practical in the city as in the country. While it can obviously be used by individuals needing to get about, it is also particularly well suited to the surveillance of construction sites, industrial sites or even agricultural sites.

The next step for Concept Geebee should be the development of a version equipped with a trailer, in order to compete with conventional electric cargo bikes.
