SYDNEY: Geely Auto is one of the fastest‑growing automotive brands in Australia, after recording 1,208 new vehicle registrations in March 2026.
March 2026 also saw Chinese automotive brands continue their rise in Australia, with several marques posting substantial growth.
Geely Auto Australia's milestone follows a series of major launches and expansion initiatives.
These include the rollout of a nationwide dealer footprint and the successful introduction of its two SUV (sport utility vehicle) models, the all-electric Geely EX5 (Proton e.MAS 7 twin) and Starray EM‑i hybrid (Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV or plug-in hybrid twin).
Also, 606 units of the EX5 were delivered during March, securing the top position in the SUV-C pure electric segment.
Meanwhile, the Starray EM-i recorded 602 deliveries, ranking in the top two in the mid-size PHEV SUV segment.
Geely Auto Australia managing director Alex Gu said, “March’s exceptional performance reflects the strong trust Australian customers are placing in Geely. Our focus on advanced new-energy vehicle technologies, outstanding value, and segment‑leading specification has resonated strongly with local buyers."
"This is just the beginning of our long‑term commitment to growing our presence in Australia.”
