Good news to kick off 2016: Fuel prices down

PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices for the month of January will see a reduction across the board.

RON95 petrol will go down by 10 sen to RM1.85 per litre, while RON97 will go down by 20 sen to RM2.25 per litre.

The price of regular diesel will drop by 30 sen to RM1.60 per litre, while the price Euro 5 diesel will also go down by 30 sen to RM1.70.

Petrol Dealers Association of Malaysia president Datuk Hashim Othman confirmed this when contacted.

The price of RON95 for the month of December was RM1.95 per litre while the prices for RON97, regular diesel and Euro 5 diesel were RM2.45, RM1.90 and RM2.00 per litre respectively.

The Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Ministry decided to set the prices of petrol and diesel on a managed float from Dec 1 last year following a removal of all fuel subsidies.
