PETALING JAYA: Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia has revealed three new models at the Malaysia Autoshow 2023 that it intends to launch locally.

The models are the Cannon pick-up truck, and the Haval H6 and Haval Jolion hybrid electric vehicles.

The models are part of the Chinese brand's Intelligent New Energy Vehicle (NEV) offering that features advanced technologies and cutting-edge designs.

The Cannon is known for its rugged and yet stylish design and is a top selling model for 25 consecutive years, accounting for 70% of the total export volume in China.

Powering the Cannon is a 2.0-litre turbo engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and supported by a level 2 autonomous driving system.

The third-generation Haval H6 Hybrid model is among the most popular SUVs in China with a top sales volume for 100 straight months with 4 million units sold worldwide.

The Haval H6 is designed with safety, advanced technologies and fuel economy in a sleek design.

The vehicle is built on LEMON, GWM’s highly intelligent modular platform, and is powered by a 1.5-litre turbo hybrid powertrain that delivers 530Nm of torque and a total system output of 243PS.

The front grille, centre brake lights, and sleek body styling give this vehicle a striking and elegant look.

The Haval Jolion HEV also gets a turbocharged 1.5-litre hybrid powertrain that cranks out a system output of 139kW and 375Nm of torque.

With a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) system, the Jolion promises performance with fuel efficiency.

Also featured in the Jolion are a 12.3-inch Smart Touch Screen with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 7-inch virtual instrument that provides precise and clear driving information.

GWM’s plans for a “New Energy Era” are guided by its Forest Ecosystem, a multi-interactive ecosystem that integrates new energy, intelligence, and other related technology industries.
