GWM Tank 500 HEV to launch in Malaysia: Below RM350K estimated

KUALA LUMPUR: The GWM Tank 500 HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) will be officially launched on May 8 at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025.

In a statement, GWM Malaysia said it is estimated to be priced below RM350,000.

"We are proud to introduce a new standard of driving excellence to Malaysian customers with this all-terrain luxury hybrid SUV," said GWM Malaysia managing director Cui Anqi.

Powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder hybrid engine paired with a 9-speed hybrid automatic transmission, the GWM Tank 500 HEV delivers a combined output of 255kW (346PS) and 648Nm of torque.

It is equipped with intelligent 4WD featuring M-Lock, 11 all-terrain driving modes, Tank Turn Assist, Off-road Cruise Control, Transparent Chassis View, and a luxurious 7-seater cabin complete with Nappa leather seats and a premium Infinity sound system.

GWM Malaysia is also offering a series of attractive promotions across its model range throughout May 2025.
