KUALA LUMPUR: The new GWM Wey G9 Hi4 HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) luxury MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) has been launched at at a retail price of RM 249,800.
It comes with a six-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty, and an eight-year or 180,000km warranty on the high voltage battery, electric drive motor and electric motor control unit, whichever comes first.
There is also introductory financing, from as low as 0.08% through selected participating banks as well as trade-in support of RM5,000.
GWM Malaysia also offers five years of free maintenance, inclusive of labour and parts, valued at RM11,200.
There is also five years of free vehicle telematics service, and Touch 'n Go GWM RFID.
The new G9 Hi4 HEV has a 2.0-litre turbocharged hybrid engine paired with GWM's Hi4 intelligent electronically controlled all-wheel-drive system.
It delivers a combined output of 358PS (263kW) and 782Nm of torque, and fuel consumption of 6.5 litres per 100km (NEDC testing cycle) and a combined driving range of up to 845km.
It has a spacious seven-seat 2+2+3 configuration, premium Nappa leather upholstery for the first and second rows, ventilated front and second-row seats as well as 10-point massage functions for the driver and second-row passengers.
Meanwhile, second-row passengers can settle into Zero Gravity captain seats, complete with electric leg rests and six-way adjustment.
Also, a flexible common-rail seat system, tip-up third-row seats and a wide middle aisle make it easier to accommodate passengers and luggage.
Boot capacity ranges from 233 litres to 1,725 litres.
Meanwhile, HALOSonic active noise cancellation works alongside an acoustic windscreen and acoustic glass for the first and second-row doors to create a quieter cabin.
Three-zone automatic climate control, a CN95 cabin filter and air-quality monitoring with plasma purification further enhance the onboard environment.
There are also a 14.6-inch infotainment display, 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and head-up display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 50-watt wireless charger and six-zone voice recognition, and a 21-speaker premium audio system.
Dual power sliding doors, a sensor-operated power tailgate, full-vehicle keyless entry, active access and walk-away locking simplify everyday use.
Selected vehicle functions can also be managed remotely through the GWM mobile application.
A digital rear-view mirror, automatic front defogging, a 360-degree surround-view camera with transparent chassis view and fully automated parking provide additional assistance when navigating tight spaces and busy surroundings.
It is equipped with six airbags, including 3,107mm-long side curtain airbags and a comprehensive suite of intelligent driver-assistance technologies.
These include Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Intelligent Cornering, Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Centre Keeping, Lane Change Assistance, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Braking, Door Open Warning and Secondary Collision Mitigation.
Exterior colours are Aurora White, Wisdom Grey and Nebula Black.
