Hennessey treats Cadillac Escalade-V to 850hp/1,159Nm upgrade
By CARSIFU | 18 April 2024HOUSTON: Texas-based hypercar manufacturer and high-performance vehicle modifier Hennessey has introduced a powerful new upgrade for the 2024 Cadillac Escalade-V, enhancing its already impressive capabilities.
The upgrade, dubbed the "H850 Escalade-V", boosts the SUV’s standard hand-built, supercharged GM 6.2-litre V8 engine from 682hp to an impressive 850hp at 6,200 rpm – a significant 25 percent increase.
Torque has been augmented by 31 percent, reaching 1,159Nm at 4,600 rpm, making the H850 one of the most powerful and fastest full-size SUVs available on the market.
The Hennessey team has extensively re-engineered the Escalade-V’s powertrain to achieve these figures.
Modifications include a new air induction system, a ported supercharger, high-flow cylinder heads, a custom camshaft, an upgraded throttle body, and new intake and exhaust valves.
The vehicle also features Hennessey’s proprietary HPE engine management calibration, refined through rigorous research and development testing.
For those seeking an even more customised appearance, Hennessey offers optional 22-inch performance wheels available in gloss black or polished silver.
In performance tests, the upgraded H850 Escalade-V was pitted against the 2024 RAM TRX, a leader in full-size performance trucks known for its factory 0-60 mph acceleration time of 4.5 seconds and a quarter-mile dash in about 12.3 seconds.
The H850 Escalade-V outperformed the RAM TRX, finishing several truck lengths ahead, underscoring its enhanced capabilities.
To ensure customer satisfaction and confidence, each H850 Escalade-V comes with a 3-year or 57,936km limited warranty.
Despite the extensive modifications to enhance performance, Hennessey’s engineers have maintained the original ride quality and drivability of the stock SUV.
The modifications do not alter the suspension or drive modes, preserving the vehicle’s legendary comfort and handling characteristics.
Hennessey’s production process for the H850 includes a final performance check on an AWD dynamometer and thorough drivability testing at the company’s private facility, the Pennzoil Proving Ground.
Each vehicle is also uniquely identified with a serial-numbered engine plaque and distinctive Hennessey badging.
Production of the H850 is currently underway, with the company accepting orders for both US and international delivery through authorised GM retailers or directly from Hennessey.
Only 100 units of the H850 would be produced.
