HOUSTON: Hennessey, the Texas-based hypercar manufacturer and high-performance vehicle creator, has announced the full production of its "VelociRaptoR 6X6" supertruck.
The vehicle is a transformed Ford F-150 Raptor R, boasting six-wheel drive, an extended boxed frame, and a second locking rear axle, which improves traction grip by over 50 percent.
The suspension features Live Valve Fox dampers, and the body is lifted three inches to accommodate custom 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 37-inch off-road tyres.
The cargo bed has been extended to eight feet, increasing cargo capacity by over 45 percent.
The "VelociRaptoR 6X6" also features new front and rear bumpers, LED off-road lights, and Hennessey VelociRaptoR badging.
The vehicle is powered by a supercharged 5.2-litre V8 engine, delivering 700bhp and 868Nm of torque.
Hennessey is known for its modified Ford F-150 Raptors and has built thousands of high-performance VelociRaptor trucks.
The company offers a range of 6X6 trucks, including the RAM-based Mammoth 6X6 TRX and Chevrolet-based Goliath 6X6 Silverado.
Hennessey also offers performance and off-road upgrades for the regular Ford Raptor 4X4.
Customers can either send a new Raptor R to Hennessey for conversion or buy a turn-key vehicle directly from the company.
The "VelociRaptoR 6X6" comes with a comprehensive 3-year / 36,000-mile (around 58,000km) warranty and is available for international shipping. It's priced from US$499,999 (RM2.4mil).
Customers can order the vehicle through authorised Ford retailers or directly from Hennessey.
