Hino Malaysia ups warranty programme for 500 Series truck

PETALING JAYA: Hino Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (HMSM) has enhanced its warranty programme with 5-year/500,000km coverage for chassis and powertrain of the Hino 500 Series for medium heavy-duty (MHCV) and prime mover applications.

The new programme, which began from March 1, does not cover usage for mixer, tipper and compactor applications.

Compared to the previous offer of 1-year/unlimited mileage for chassis warranty and 2-year/200,000km mileage for powertrain, the new warranty programme is the highest for this range in the market.

HMSM said it was confident to roll out this longest warranty period in its class as its products were known for its QDR - Quality, Durability and Reliability.

The new warranty programme also comes Hino Connect telematics system with 5 years' free subscription.

Hino Connect is a set of services that connects the vehicle with customer’s office through a telematics system which provides vehicle data, fleet position, and reviews driving performance that allow operators/customers to make informed decisions and take the necessary actions in increasing the productivity of their fleet.

Packaged with a 7-inch touchscreen monitor, Hino Connect is designed to improve safety and security with 24-hour call centre assist and theft monitoring system.

When complemented with Hino Driver Training at Hino Total Support Customer Center (HTSCC), fleet efficiency canbe improved with savings of up to 10% in fuel economy can be achieved.

Also included is a 3-time Free Service Programme (FSP) that includes labour, parts, and lubricants.

With this Free Service Programme, HMSM aims to give the best after-sales support and this would convey its company’s gratitude to the customers for their trust and confidence in Hino products.
