Hino Total Support Contest celebrates its sixth year

PETALING JAYA: Hino Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Hino Malaysia) organised another round of the Hino ‘Total Support Contest’ (TS Contest) for its 6th year.

Held at its headquarters here, the contest witnessed the participation of 130 contestants from 36 companies.

Hino Malaysia, a subsidiary of Hino Motors Limited Japan, held the event to foster greater skill and knowledge among the dealers, enhance their customer servicing skill as well as improving technical expertise.

There are prizes for Champion, 1st Runner-up, and 2nd Runner-up for each category: Sales, Services, and Parts.

The grand prize is the 3S Champion, and will receive the Challenge Trophy and cash incentive of RM3,000. All the champions will join a trip to Hino Motors Limited Japan next year.

Contestants under Sales Category are required to explain the concept of Hino Total Support to customers which includes the maintenance contract, Free Service Programme (FSP), Free Parts Programme (FPP), Arm-Tech System, New Warranty Terms of Hino models, Selling and Closing skills for New Hino Vehicles, and Rules and Regulations of Road Transport in Malaysia.

All contestants under the Service Advisor category are evaluated based on their skill and knowledge of vehicle maintenance, mechanical parts solving, advance skill in Electrical Trouble Shooting by using Hino diagnosis tools explorer (DX II), advance skill in Programming of Fuel Injectors, System Protection Data, and Trouble Code Reading & Rectification.

Contestants under Parts Category are evaluated on their knowledge to identify and discern between Hino Genuine Parts and forged parts in the market. They would also be tested on their knowledge of  the Electronic Parts Catalogues (EPC), which provides speed and accuracy in determining the correct parts to be assigned to the right vehicle via model and chassis number.
