PETALING JAYA: After years of leading hybrid vehicle sales in Malaysia, Honda Malaysia will be launching its first battery electric vehicle (BEV) - the Honda e:N1 - in the second quarter of the year.
Now open for booking at https://prebook.honda.com.my/ and HondaTouch app, the all-new e:N1 leverages on Honda’s electric powertrain technology for environment-friendly mobility and embodies the brand’s core values of joy, practicality and innovation.
While appearing similar to the Honda HR-V sports utility vehicle, the e:N1 is 4,380mm long and 1,592mm high with a wheelbase of 2,610mm.
The e:N1 is built on the new e:N Architecture F and has a front-wheel-drive platform developed to deliver smooth acceleration and precise control.
While its electric motor delivers 150kW and 310Nm of torque, the 68.8kWh lithium-ion battery offers a driving range of up to 500km (NEDC), allowing daily usage practicality.
The vehicle accepts AC (Normal Charging) and DC (Fast Charging) and the ports are hidden under a lid at the vehicle's front.
Other features include white "H" emblems that signify Honda's electrification technology, full LED head and tail lights, and exclusive 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, a front charging status indicator among others.
This unique “H” badge is integrated throughout the e:N1, such as on the keyless remote, steering wheel, front charge lid and centre wheel caps.
The e:N1 also gets a range of Honda’s safety technologies, including Blind Spot Information (BSI) with Cross Traffic Monitor (CTM), along with the full suite of nine advanced safety functions under Honda Sensing.
Honda Malaysia said it has appointed eight authorised dealerships across three regions based on its insights into key BEV market areas.
