PETALING JAYA: Honda Malaysia sold 72,301 units in 2025 (8.8% market share), and continued to be the top brand in the non-national passenger vehicle segment for the 12th consecutive year.
The company said the encouraging sales performance is attributed to its balanced product portfolio, strong demand for hybrid technology, and enduring customer trust.
Honda Malaysia managing director and CEO Narushi Yazaki said, "The solid performance in 2025 has further strengthened our confidence in Honda’s product direction and reinforced our commitment to delivering practical electrification solutions.”
He added, “As we mark 21 years (2004–2025) since the introduction of our hybrid technology, strengthening the presence of our hybrid models across major segments remains a key priority. By
integrating advanced hybrid technology, we aim to deliver an engaging and rewarding driving experience for every customer."

Leading the company’s sales performance were the HR-V, City and CR-V, which contributed 25%, 24% and 15% of total sales respectively.
The company also recorded a significant contribution from its e:HEV variants, with the HR-V and CR-V each accounting for more than 30% of total hybrid sales.
In October 2025, Honda Malaysia marked its 25th anniversary with the launch of the “Because of You” campaign, featuring a three-month lucky draw to thank customers for being part of its quarter-century journey.
The first four lucky winners were announced last year, and recently, the company revealed the final two winners for December 2025, who drove home a City 1.5L RS and a HR-V 1.5L T V.

One winner was Cheah Wei Kong from Selangor, who entered the lucky draw after purchasing an e:N1.
Cheah said, “I decided to give the e:N1 a try because Honda has proven itself as a reliable, long-standing brand, consistently showing stability since its establishment in Malaysia. After the test drive, I immediately fell in love with this Honda EV (electric vehicle)."
"I am impressed by how approachable and effortless it feels to drive. The transition to an electric vehicle is smooth and natural, just like driving a petrol car. I encourage anyone who is hesitant to take it for a test drive, and they will understand how practical and enjoyable this EV can be."
The other lucky winner, Muhammad Syabil Muzafar from Perak, had joined the contest after buying a Civic 1.5L V.
He said, “The Civic caught my eye with its striking design, and experiencing its powerful performance and smooth handling confirmed that it was the perfect car for me. Honda has been in the country for longer than I can remember, and the brand’s strong reputation for reliability and customer support gave me the confidence to choose Honda."
"Winning the HR-V on top of that feels absolutely surreal. With these two Honda models, I now have the perfect combination for both daily commuting and weekend adventures with friends and family.”
