PETALING JAYA: Honda Malaysia is accepting bookings for the new Honda Prelude, ahead of its launch in the second quarter of 2026.
Honda Malaysia says the revival of this iconic nameplate marks a significant milestone, as the new Prelude is the first e:HEV hybrid sports coupe in the company's history.
The new Prelude introduces S+ Shift technology, offered for the first time in Honda Malaysia's line-up.
Integrated with Active Sound Control, the system simulates gear shifts and enhances engine responsiveness through precise coordination between the engine and dual electric motors.
It delivers a more engaging and dynamic driving experience with sharper throttle response, enhanced control, and multi-sensory feedback.
The shift hold function further improves driving precision, allowing the vehicle to respond accurately to driver inputs and intended driving lines.
The Prelude is powered by a 2.0-litre e:HEV powertrain, producing 184PS and 315Nm of torque.
Engineered for performance, the system provides instant acceleration and linear power delivery.
The Prelude features sleek proportions and measures 4,522mm in length, 1,880mm in width, and 1,355mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,605mm.
Its aerodynamic exterior is enhanced by a smooth roofline achieved through laser brazing, flush door outer handles and a black chrome grille, complemented by subtle blue accents at the lower centre of the front and rear bumpers.
Additional highlights include LED headlights and LED rear combi lights with red lens, alongside enhanced Active Cornering Lights that further improve visibility during nighttime driving.
The Prelude rides on 19-inch aluminum wheels paired with high-capacity Brembo brakes.
It comes equipped with Honda Sensing suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies, as well as the Blind Spot Information (BSI) system and Cross Traffic Monitor (CTM).
