KUALA LUMPUR: Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) has extended its contract with Selangor Football Club (Selangor FC), solidifying its position as the Official Mobility Partner for the Red Giants.
HMY says this extension signifies a deliberate growth transition from establishing the initial partnership to deepening shared roots, driving sporting passion, and actively supporting the local football community both on and off the field.
Continuing its role as Selangor FC's Official Mobility Partner, HMY will provide one unit of Hyundai Tucson Prestige as the club's official vehicle.
The model's advanced features, comfort and versatility make it well suited to support the day-to-day transportation needs of Selangor FC's staff and officials, enabling efficient mobility on and off the pitch throughout the 2026/2027 season.
The renewed alliance ensures that Selangor FC’s players, technical staff, and officials will continue to be backed by Hyundai’s focus on performance, innovation, and absolute reliability during their grueling campaigns in the domestic league and upcoming regional circuits.
"The inaugural year of our partnership proved that performance and progress go hand-in-hand. Seeing Selangor FC’s amazing achievement at the 2025-2026 Asean Club Championship Shopee Cup finals has only strengthened our resolve to support their competitive ambitions," said HMY managing director Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen.
"As we step into this next phase, we are not just maintaining a corporate sponsorship – we are actively refining our mobility solutions to ensure the team, the management, and the fans experience a seamless journey toward future triumphs."
Over the past year, HMY and Selangor FC have successfully collaborated on a wide range of initiatives spanning fan engagement, grassroots football development and community outreach programmes.
In support of grassroots football development, HMY participated in the Selangor FC Soccer School Carnival, further reinforcing its commitment to nurturing young talent and contributing to the development of Malaysian football.
One of the highlights was the HMY Sentiasa di Sisi Anda x SFC Cahaya Ramadan 2026 programme, which benefited 150 underprivileged students from Bait Al-Hasanah, Klang.
Through the collective support of Hyundai Motor Malaysia, Selangor FC and participating partners, the initiative provided festive essentials, educational materials, financial assistance and food aid.
