KUALA LUMPUR: iCaur Malaysia has officially launched its first model for the local market at a highly competitive price for an electric vehicle (EV).
Available in two powertrain configurations, the electric sports utility vehicle (e-SUV) iCaur 03 two-wheel drive (2WD) variant is priced at RM119,800 while the Intelligent Wheel Drive (iWD) option comes in at RM129,800.
This puts the variants at least RM24,800 below the initially estimated RM145,000 and RM155,000 price point.
Both variants come with a 2,715 mm wheelbase while measuring at 4,406 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, and 1,715 mm in height. They are available in five colours: Silver, Grey, White, Black, and the signature Aurora Green.
Customers who want a bolder presence can opt for the Black Phantom Edition at an additional RM20,000 which features an exclusive exterior bodykit, matte-black finish, roof rack platform, and side-ladder.

The 2WD variant features a rear axle motor that delivers 135 kW (184 PS) and 220 Nm of torque, and is equipped with a 65.7 kWh LFP battery with 426 km NEDC-rated range.
Meanwhile, the iWD system variant houses dual motors that produce 205kW (279PS) and 385Nm. It has a 69.8kWh battery that offers 418km range (NEDC).
Both supports 80 kW DC fast charging and 6.6 kW AC charging while also featuring a 3.2 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) system.
Sporting the i-Box design language, at the core of the off-road capable 03 lies the iRoad system that offers up to 10 selectable all-terrain drive modes paired with a H-arm multilink rear suspension for enhanced rugged durability and axle articulation.
Form meets function with short overhangs at both ends, delivering a 28-degree approach angle, a 32-degree departure angle, and gradeability of up to 55 per cent.

At the core of its performance is a compact yet powerful 6-in-1 electric drive module that integrates the Motor Control Unit, Onboard Charger, and Converter. The aim is to deliver a smooth, responsive power and control, regardless if one was navigating city streets or tackling muddy trails.
Debuting on the e-SUV is the brand’s iCare safety system as well as a Malaysia's first-in-segment all-aluminium body and monocoque chassis with anti-corrosion protection for up to 30 years.
The structure is said to deliver 31,882 Nm of torsional rigidity that surpasses many modern sports cars, deliver exceptional crash protection, and a weight reduction of 30% all the whilst maintaining rugged durability.
Beyond the robust chassis is a 4-layer IPX8 battery armour system which integrates a high-temperature mica ceramic upper barrier and a 10 mm reinforced aluminium baseplate. The combination allows it to withstand extreme temperatures exceeding 1000°C in addition to dual additional protective layers.

Safety is further bolstered with the standard presence of six airbags and the a Level 2 Advance Driver Assistance System (ADAS) package with the following features: Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Drive Away Info (DAI), Front Collision Warning (FCW), Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Rear Collision Warning (RCW), Lane Departure Prevention (LDP), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), Blindspot Detection (BSD), and Door Opening Warning (DOW).
Inside the 03 is the iBrand cockpit that features a 15.6-inch central display and 9.2-inch instrument cluster powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor and an i-VA interface.
Complementing it is Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility and a 12-speaker INFINITY audio system for the iWD variant.
Other notable convenience features come in the form of a 540-degree All View Monitor (AVM), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), 50W wireless device charger and an NFC reader located on the driver’s side wing mirror.
Comfort and cargo comes in the form of ventilated and massage seats (iWD only) at the front, ventilated seats at the rear, a boot offering 450 litres of storage that is expandable to 1,238 litres with the rear seats folded, and a 40-litre auxiliary cargo box.


The iCaur 03 is backed by a 7-year or 150,000km vehicle warranty, alongside an 8-year or 160,000km battery and drive unit warranty.
Customers will also benefit from the iCare Insurance Programme which is developed in collaboration with Allianz General Insurance, Berjaya Sompo, AIG, Etiqa Takaful, Zurich, and Zurich Takaful.
In addition to insuring the vehicle the exclusive coverage includes the safeguard of the EV wallbox chargers and portable charging cables, while offering unlimited towing services.
iCaur Malaysia will also provide a battery replacement guarantee, offering a one-to-one replacement if the battery’s state of health drops below 70 per cent.


A hassle-free wallbox installation package, provided through a partnership with EVC and Kineta, comes at a standardised cost of RM1,388 that is borne by the customer.
Those who made their bookings by Sept 17 this year will be entitled to an exclusive early bird package: one year of unlimited charging via the JomCharge network (including authorised roaming partners) with Auto Charge functionality; a lifestyle package worth RM3,000 that features merchandise and vouchers from Starbucks, JD Sports, Sunway Lagoon, and Touch ‘n Go; and a complimentary wallbox charger valued at RM3,400.

Initially available as a fully built-up (CBU) import, local assembly (CKD) of the iCaur 03 will commence in January 2026 at the Chery Corporate Malaysia, Shah Alam plant.
Its production will join alongside the Omoda I Jaecoo Malaysia models while the company has not indicated there would be a price change when it goes CKD.
In tandem with the model's launch, iCaur Malaysia has announced plans for up to 18 points of sale and nine fully fledged iCaur service centres nationwide by this month. This includes planned openings in Sabah and Sarawak within Q4 2025.
