iCAUR V23 off-road EV to launch in Malaysia

SHANGHAI: Another Chinese automotive marque is coming to Malaysia, and this time it's iCAUR - the result of a collaboration between Chery Automobile and home appliances maker Smartmi Tech, which is a subsidiary of technology giant Xiaomi.

Following its global debut at Auto Shanghai 2025, iCAUR plans to give a preview of its EVs (electric vehicles) at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 which will be held at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) in May.

The company says the preview will also see the signing of its first batch of authorised dealer partners in Malaysia.

In a statement, iCAUR says leading its automotive line-up is the new V23, the company's first global model.

The V23 features a bold outline, designed with muscular proportions featuring a fully enclosed grille and split-style headlights, and is designed for drivers who want a vehicle that can handle a weekend adventure as easily as a city commute.

iCAUR’s expanding global lineup includes both battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and range-extended electric vehicles (REEVs).

The brand plans to reach over 100 countries in the next three years, and set up more than 2,000 service and sales centres.
