iMotorbike opens Johor and Penang showrooms

KUALA LUMPUR: iMotorbike, Southeast Asia’s leading motorcycle platform for buying and selling pre-owned motorcycles, has opened its Johor and Penang showrooms.

This marks a major milestone in the company’s in-country expansion strategy.

Together, the two new locations significantly expand iMotorbike’s nationwide in-store inventory.

This boosts capacity by over 300%, from 1,500 motorcycles to more than 6,000 units, which helps enable deeper market penetration and faster transaction cycles across Malaysia.

Johor anchors this expansion as a key southern growth hub.

Spanning 42,452 sq ft, the Johor showroom is designed to support both high-volume sourcing and sales, serving a diverse customer base that includes daily commuters and first-time buyers seeking reliable pre-owned motorcycles.

Complementing Johor, the Penang showroom spans 26,745 sq ft, strengthening iMotorbike’s presence in the northern region.

Unlike traditional classified platforms or single-dealer outlets, iMotorbike differentiates itself through an integrated ecosystem that combines physical showrooms, professional inspections, and nationwide buyer reach.

Customers benefit from a transparent, end-to-end journey, from buying and selling to financing and after-sales services, backed by 170-point inspections, a six-day return policy, a six-month warranty, and nationwide delivery, including Sabah and Sarawak.

“These two showrooms are a natural next step in our Malaysia expansion journey. Johor and Penang are both high-demand markets with very different buyer and seller dynamics from what we used to serve in the Klang Valley," said iMotorbike co-founder and CEO Gil Carmo.

"People have been coming from all over Malaysia to the Glenmarie showroom in Shah Alam, and now, with these two new locations open, we’re able to scale inventory, shorten the distance between buyers and sellers and deliver a more seamless experience for our customers,” he added.

Larger showroom footprints allow iMotorbike to scale both sourcing and sales operations, strengthening operational fundamentals while supporting sustained nationwide growth.

Beyond physical expansion, iMotorbike plans to continue enhancing its ecosystem in Malaysia with additional services, including express servicing, repairs, and broader after-sales support.
