Isuzu Malaysia launches nationwide blood donation drive

PETALING JAYA: Isuzu Malaysia Sdn Bhd (IMSB) has launched its "Truck for Life" blood donation drive, in support of the National Blood Centre Malaysia’s efforts to ensure a sufficient blood supply for hospitals and patients.

Supported by Isuzu dealers nationwide, the campaign started in the second quarter of 2026.

The campaign is travelling nationwide, making stops at Isuzu dealerships to provide convenient opportunities for customers, employees and members of the public to donate blood.

IMSB chief operating officer Masashi Nuijma said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to contribute meaningfully to the communities it serves.

“Over the years, IMSB has implemented a wide range of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at supporting communities and creating positive social impact. The "Truck for Life" 2026 Blood Donation Campaign is one of the key initiatives we have committed to in helping the National Blood Centre encourage more Malaysians to step forward as blood donors,” said Nuijima.

The campaign’s first stop, held recently at IMSB’s headquarters in Damansara Uptown, Petaling Jaya, collected a total of 15 litres during a one-day event.

The National Blood Centre has consistently called on the public to step forward as blood donors to ensure adequate blood reserves are available for medical emergencies, surgeries and ongoing treatments.

On average, between 15,000 and 17,000 bags of blood are required to meet the daily needs of patients across Malaysia.

“For Isuzu Malaysia, we carry a strong sense of responsibility to give back to the community through purposeful and meaningful initiatives,” added Nuijima.

“The trust of Malaysians has positioned Isuzu as the top truck brand in the country for over 14 consecutive years,” said Nuijima.

Over the years, IMSB has actively undertaken various initiatives, ranging from tree planting for environmental preservation to visitations and donation efforts supporting underprivileged communities, including orphanages and elderly homes.
