PETALING JAYA: The Isuzu Merdeka Convoy saw over 1,000 Isuzu D-Max owners driving to attractions within their states in a show of their patriotic spirit and to celebrate the special day with fellow owners and their families.
During the flag-off ceremony of one of the convoys in Seremban, Isuzu Malaysia CEO Tomoyuki Yamaguchi said, "The Isuzu Merdeka convoy is quickly establishing itself as an amazing platform for our customers to showcase their patriotism and pride."
"It is truly heartwarming to see Malaysian people from various walks of life sharing a common love of the country and enjoying its proudest moment.”

Organised by the various Isuzu dealerships around the country, the convoy this year saw D-Max owners and their families participating in activities such as orchard visits, picnics, durian feasts, sight-seeing at tourist attractions, island hopping and extreme games.
Isuzu light commercial vehicle division’s chief operating officer Kenichi Kudo added that the Isuzu Merdeka Convoy was also ideal for getting people to enjoy the amazing attractions Malaysia had to offer using one of the most fuel-efficient and reliable pick-ups on the market.
“Apart from the opportunity to celebrate the unity of Merdeka with fellow Malaysians, the Isuzu Merdeka Convoy was also an excellent opportunity for owners to appreciate the sheer beauty of the country while enjoying the absolute pleasure of driving their D-Max,” said Kudo.
