Ital Auto Malaysia is the new local official Ferrari importer

KUALA LUMPUR: Ferrari S.p.A has appointed Ital Auto Malaysia Sdn Bhd as the authorised Ferrari importer for Malaysia from May 5.

Ital Auto Malaysia Sdn Bhd is a subsidiary of Ital Auto Pte Ltd, the authorised Ferrari importer for Singapore since 2009.

Ital Auto Pte Ltd is a subsidiary of Komoco Holdings Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based regional automotive group that includes Ital Automotive, a Ferrari dealership in Shanghai, China.

In a statement, Singapore-based Ferrari Far East Pte Ltd said previous Ferrari importer Naza Italia and Ital Auto Malaysia had effected a successful transfer of assets related to the Ferrari franchise to Ital Auto Malaysia.

Ital Auto Malaysia will also take over Naza Italia’s existing client deposits and bookings for Ferrari vehicles.

In addition, the entire existing operating team of Naza Italia will be transferred to Ital Auto Malaysia.

"The Naza Italia dealership staff have developed a strong reputation for delivering exceptional customer service and the team will ensure continuity with a focus on enhancing the ownership experience for Malaysian customers as well as a smooth start to operations.

"With the transfer of staff and assets, Ferrari and Naza Italia bring their long partnership to an amicable close," the statement said.

Ital Auto Malaysia is currently building a temporary dedicated aftersales facility in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, which will be operational from next month.

The new importer will also be preparing a city showroom to be located on the retail podium of the Four Seasons Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

Also, a brand new flagship 3S centre built to Ferrari's exacting corporate identity standards is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2025.
