SERI KEMBANGAN: JAC Auto (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has introduced the all-new JAC N90 light-duty truck aimed at logistics, distribution and construction operators requiring a versatile 7.5-tonne transport solution with improved safety and operating efficiency.
The N90 is priced from RM118,000 for the bare chassis variant.
It comes with a six-year or 300,000km warranty, whichever comes first, along with a complimentary 10,000km service programme.

The N90 is the sixth-generation model in JAC’s light-duty truck lineup, with the company claiming cumulative global sales of more than 3.2 million units across the series.
Built with a 7.5-tonne gross vehicle mass (GVM), the N90 is offered with multiple wheelbase configurations ranging from 3,365mm to 4,800mm.

This allows the truck to support various body applications including cargo boxes, refrigerated transport units and construction-oriented setups.
Powering the N90 is a Euro 5-compliant Cummins B4.5 diesel engine paired with an Eaton-Fuller ESO-6106A transmission.
The 4.5-litre engine is jointly developed by JAC and Cummins and is based on Cummins’ successful B-series medium-duty platform.

It produces 118kW at 2,300rpm and 540Nm of torque from 1,100rpm to 1,800rpm.
The drivetrain is designed to improve fuel efficiency during highway operations, with the engine running within an optimal 1,200rpm to 1,600rpm range at cruising speeds between 80kph and 90kph.
The company estimates fuel savings of between three and five per cent compared to direct-drive transmission systems.

Inside, the N90 receives JAC’s latest-generation cab with features aimed at improving driver comfort during long working hours.
Equipment includes an air-suspension driver seat, step-less adjustable armrest, 10.4-inch multimedia touchscreen and LCD instrument cluster.
Safety systems include Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Acceleration Slip Regulation (ASR), Hill-Start Assist (HAS) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC).

According to JAC International general manager Oscar Yu, the N90 represents the company’s latest push into the premium light-duty truck segment.
He said the truck combines Cummins diesel performance, advanced safety systems and lower operating costs for logistics operators.
Yu added that JAC continues to strengthen its engineering and manufacturing capabilities through collaborations with global brands such as Volkswagen, Cummins and Huawei.
Unveiled at the Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Expo 2026 here by Transport Minister Anthony Loke, the N90 is also displayed with other JAC Auto Malaysia models such as the JAC i40 EV light-duty truck and JAC T9 EV pickup truck, highlighting the brand’s growing electrified commercial vehicle portfolio. - Zachary Ho
