The J5 EV rides on 18-inch alloy wheels with 235/55 R18 tyres, while suspension comprises MacPherson struts at the front and independent rear suspension. There are three adjustable regenerative braking levels.
Standard equipment includes an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, 13.2-inch central touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an eight-speaker sound system, offline intelligent voice command and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Other features include a panoramic glass roof with power sunshade, double glazed front windows, powered tailgate, 50W ventilated wireless charging pad, ventilated front seats, multi-colour ambient lighting, T-Box connectivity and remote vehicle functions through the accompanying app.
The J5 EV also brings lifestyle-focused functions including Camping Mode, Pet Mode and an in-car karaoke function. Camping Mode provides up to 3.3kW of power for external electrical equipment.
Safety equipment includes a high torsional-rigidity body structure, six airbags, a 540-degree HD panoramic camera, front and rear parking sensors and 19 advanced driver assistance systems, including Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Evasive Steering Assist and Multi-Collision Braking. These are supported by hill-start assist, hill-descent control, ISOFIX child-seat mounting points and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
