Japan Mobility Show 2025: Lexus LS Concept

TOKYO: At Japan Mobility Show 2025, Lexus unveiled luxury concept cars including the LS concept that's a six-wheeled MPV (multi-purpose vehicle).

Lexus chief branding officer Simon Humphries said the LS concept redefines the Japanese luxury brand's flagship, and the "future would be about more than four wheels."

"When that door opens, you are teleported to a home away from home, and your own private space - a space to truly discover sanctuary."

"Six wheels to revolutionise packaging. Maximising floor space. Unhindered access. An environment to call your own," said Humphries.

As for the Lexus Sport concept, Humphries said it delivers an "experience that engages all the senses in ways never experienced before."

Meanwhile, the LS Coupe concept is billed as a balance of contradictions that has always been Lexus's forte.

"The ability to discover duality - a car that is as fun for the driver as it is for the passenger," said Humphries.

Lexus LS Micro concept

The LS Micro concept is a tiny futuristic, self-driving one-seater autonomous pod which delivers luxury mobility on three wheels.

"City centers are seeing ever greater restrictions to space. What if we took the essence of the private space we created in the LS Concept and put that into an autonomous one-person format.
Seamlessly connecting business and pleasure mobility and infrastructure on land," said Humphries.
